Chiara is a freelance illustrator and artist based in Edinburgh. Her work has a strong focus on bringing wonder, light and normality to the mundane, dull and embarrassing moments of life, simply through the power of a pencil and some paper. Her work tends to be inspired by literally everything around her. People, places, objects. Even if society deems something as mundane or taboo, she tries to put a twist on it. In doing so it’s allowed her to create work that people can relate to. That’s key to her. Creating work that allows a community to feel connected and included, is more important than following an unsustainable trend.
