Jil Joannin

Jil, close to nature, is sensitive to the movements that animate it, in particular those of the wind which generate the waves and the foam of the oceans, which sculpt and shape the reliefs of the mountains. Thus, she is sensitive to the materials that she does not hesitate to use in her works, like clay or sand; associated with painting, they are there to suggest life through seemingly inert elements. An extraordinary dynamic fol- lows which sublimates the components of a world rid of all human presence, returned to its primary values. Powerful works that demonstrate, if need be, the force of things, their movement as well as the durability that characterizes them. Works, all between figuration and abstraction, which reveal themselves as sources of aesthetic emotions as well as lines of questioning and reflection.
