the artists

Andrea Wan

Andrea Wan is a Canadian Muralist and Illustrator working between Berlin and Vancouver. Andrea explains that her art is like a container in which she can allow what needs to come through in her stream of consciousness. She mainly works on ink on paper, murals, digital media and sculptures. The themes in her artworks are nature, personal mythology and self-enquiry. Her work represents both the bright and dark sides of Berlin just like the works seen at the hotel. It's lyrical, mystical, disruptive, dreamy and everyone can relate to it.

Joachim Romain

Joachim Romain is a French artist working between Paris and Berlin. Joachim’s work allows him to put his subjects from the street back to their "natural environment". He tears off pieces of posters and portraits from the street and after several interventions, the portraits are enlarged, magnified, diverted, using a blend of different techniques to create the final masterpiece with paint, glue and spray. The artist is engaged in environmental causes and sustainability, a topic which is highly important among Berliners. His artworks are spread across the hotel walls and people will be able to really feel the essence of the streets of Berlin while walking through them.

Sabela Garcia

Sabela García Cuesta is a Spanish multidisciplinary artist living between Hamburg in Germany and Venice in LA. She truly believes in the transformative power of art and painting has helped her tap into her intuition in a radical way as well as helping others do the same.

Each piece of art she creates is entirely unique, since it's inspired by the process itself rather than any kind of preconceived notion of what it "should" look like. You won't find any perfect pieces - just flawed, beautiful, uneven strokes that reflect the beauty of imperfection.
